Cameron Joins Rare 250-250 Club

Sep 25, 2014 4:15 PM

Brewers outfielder Mike Cameron became the 20th member of the 250 home run/250 stolen base club on Sunday night. Cameron accomplished the feat in the fourth inning against the Twins with a homer off starter Scott Baker. He said the feat was "bitter sweet" because it occurred in a loss. "Looking back, it's pretty special," Cameron said. "To be in very select company, as far as hitting 1,500 hits, 250 homers and 250 stolen bases -- pretty special just being in the game to be able to accomplish something like that. "It kind of reminds me all the times that people always tell you that you [aren't good]," Cameron joked. "I can look back and say that I was in some very select company." Cameron has 250 home runs and 291 steals. "If you go to the next level, which is 300-300, there is only like six guys that have done that," Cameron said. "That would be very special, too, if the good Lord blessed me with good enough health to be able to continue to play for that long to be able to do that."
